Great stuff again Aaron. Love how you go through these pages, your influences and how it informed your style.

„When I moved back to the Bay Area from Boston, I lost all my art books in the mail.“ same happened to me... lost all my 80s SF/F Books when I moved countries. I didn’t replace them though, many are out of print.

I get it about the bag, I found a Tom Bihn bag and never looked back. Lifelong guarantee.

Thanks again man!

There is just something magical

About the right bag. Keeps all the tools/ almost like an escape hatch for ideas.

Enjoyed the drawings and accompanying text, great work! I'm curious- have you done any animations?

Hey Miter, I have dabbled in frame by frame animation mostly in Procreate. Done a few animated Gig posters and some animated stickers/emojis for a start ups discord server. Slowly animating a short skit I wrote but it’s a slow process.

I imagine the animation process is very time consuming, especially if you are drawing parts of each frame, I have very little/zero real experience with it. But, I was asking in part because I'm working on an idea of putting together an "episode" of Substack "music television" that is partly inspired by old MTV, like, 120 minutes, liquid television, etc. The idea is a work in progress, but curious if you would have any animations that and would be willing to contribute. Asking @d.w. too but I guess I can't tag in here. Happy to try and explain further. Basically looking for clips, maybe 1 min max that are...weird.

Amazing illustrations Aaron. I still think about your mom, especially when reviewing old Menlo Park photos.

Thanks Neill! Yeah lining in Meno Park feels like so long ago now but still pretty fresh in the old mind cavern.
